This is an area where people have a lot of confusion. In some ministries, the money you donate doesn't actually go to the staff member you gave it for, but rather to the group as a whole. This is NOT the case with us, although PowerToChange does take a small percentage.
The money you donate to us, goes directly to a special account with my name on it within PowerToChange. From that account, PowerToChange pays my salary and any business related expenses that are necessary to keep me employed at the organization. This includes things like employment insurance, benefits payments and office supplies.
As I mentioned, PowerToChange does also take a small percentage of the donation which is used to keep the building operational and is also used to fund new projects and needs.
