As we're getting ready for driving down to staff conference, I can't help but wonder what kinds of things are going to go wrong with the websites while we're gone. Things seem pretty stable right now, except for the fact that we have a potential hacker, but it seems that there are always problems which come up at the worst of times. I guess it's sort of a pessemistic perspective, to be worried about what could/might go wrong, but at the same time, I recognize that it's just a reality of the job I do, and the environment I work in.
It's exciting though, getting ready for a road trip and a bit of vacation time. Carolanne and I are going to be driving down in the CRX and will be taking our time getting down there. This is mainly due to the fact that this will probably be the only vacation time Carolanne gets, and therefore we want to make the most of it. I get the time as normal work time, but she has to take time off. We're hoping to leave Saturday evening on the 16'th, and get back on the 31'st.
Lord willing, the car will hold up for us. We're taking it in tomorrow to the shop to get checked over before the trip. We've found a really good mechanic who so far has done very well for us in looking after our cars when there's things I can't seem to do myself.
Father, I pray that this time of travel, and this conference would go really well. Keep us safe as we drive, and help us not to get on each other's nerves. I pray that you would also help the car to work well, and that we wouldn't experience any major issues with it, but that we'd get there and back safely, in one piece, and without having to spend huge amounts on repairs.
I also pray that you would help us to learn more about yourself while we're there and on the trip, as we listen to the sessions, pray together, and build our own relationship. And I pray that you would bring Carolanne and myself closer together in you as well. Lord, fill us with your love, both for eachother and for those around us. I pray that you would also bless us and give us the ability and the means to bless others.
Thank you for your love Lord. Thank you for all that you have already blessed us with, and thank you that you are such an awesome and caring God, and that you are concerned even for our minor every day needs.
