WOO HOO! We're in our new place now, and loving it! It's SO nice not to have to go up and down elevators and stairs to get to the car or to take Rusty out to the bathroom. And it's nice to be able to pull the car into the garage and take the groceries to the kitchen at our leisure, rather than trying to cart bags of stuff up 4 flights of stairs, or into the elevator while juggling the dog.
As you will be able to see in the pictures, we have not quite unpacked yet, but are making good progress. Click the small pictures to see a larger view. A lot of the credit for that goes to Carolanne, who is now able to work out all her "nesting urges". The place also feels SO spacious compared to our condo. Almost everything is unpacked, we haven't even touched the bedrooms upstairs yet and things STILL feel more spacious than our old place.
It's also VERY nice to have a yard. The grass does need a little improvement (it's kinda patchy), and the garden appears to have been neglected for the last year, but we're looking forward to being able to do our own work around our own place and make it our home.
The Lord has Blessed!
I have to say that we both feel VERY blessed that the Lord provided this place for us. Through this whole process, in spite of our worries and concerns, He has been faithful, and as long as we kept on walking, the Lord kept on guiding us. Every time there was a hiccup or problem with the transition, He would smooth it out. All we had to do was trust Him, and keep walking.
At the beginning of April, when we had not yet found a place, and time was drawing short, I had pretty much given up hope of finding a place before the baby came, and we were almost panicking, trying to figure out what to do. Carolanne was even talking about the possibility of us needing to ask to move into her parents motor-home, after the baby came, so that we would not have to bring a baby home to a smoke-filled condo. (You don't understand how smoky it would get in that place)
It seemed though, that as soon as we opened the door to consider buying in Chilliwack(or Sardis), the Lord just opened up all the doors, and gave us a straight road to follow. So all that to say, it has been a great lesson in faith and trusting that the Lord will provide, in His time and way.
Thank you!
Thank you very much to all of you who came and helped us with the move, or helped with other aspects of the transition. We both have REALLY appreciated it. Thank you also to those of you who have been continuing to pray for us through this time, that the Lord would give us wisdom and strength. As I have mentioned above, He has been VERY faithful and has been continuing to guide and direct us through this time.
