Dear Friends and Supporters,
The last few months have been an interesting mix of busyness and rest. Things at Crusade have been reasonably busy these days, as we have been making some fairly large transitions from some old systems, to newer ones. One of these is the system we use to manage all of the email that comes in off the websites. We see approximately 5000 emails a month come in from our sites, and until recently we have been using a "home grown" software package called the Ministry Automated Response System (MARS) to keep track of all these emails. Now, we are beginning to outgrow this solution, and have been required to look for alternative systems to manage these emails. We have recently found one, and my biggest job right now is to be migrating people and information out from the old system and into the new.
On a lighter note, Carolanne and I have had the opportunity to take a few days of holidays and do some camping. The weekend of July 1'st, we drove down to a camp site in the San Juan islands to spend the extended weekend with my parents. They are celebrating their 30'th anniversary this year, and so we all went camping to celebrate with them. One of these days I'm hoping to start a photo gallery on this site so that we can post our favorite pictures.
This next weekend we are going for another camping trip, this time heading east a few hours. We're going to camp with some friends of ours who are going for their very first camping trip together with their 3 kids. Should be interesting! :) And fun.
Exciting Stories:
I have posted a number of exciting stories and emails on our ministry blog, and you may click here to read them, but one in particular stood out to me as being very encouraging.
This was my first experience where I was able to chat and learn more about Christ and Christianity. I think you are doing a terrific job. GoD bless you all…
This was written by a person in Karachi, Pakistan, who we had the opportunity to lead to the Lord in one of our chat rooms. I find it so awesome and amazing that the Lord is using us in such powerful ways, all around the world.
Well, that's all for now.
Wishing you all the best,
James and Carolanne Warkentin
