8 teeth!

Well I just looked at Benjamins bottom teeth and realized that there are 2 more growing in down there! That makes 8 teeth that he now has. There are 4 on the bottom and 4 on the top. Poor little guy has had to put up with being sick and having 2 teeth coming in.

Sick days with Benjamin

Benjamin says "ma ma"!

It is true, Benjamin can now say "ma ma". I can't say for sure when the first day was that he started, but he's been getting better and better at saying it. He was saying it quite a bit on Saturday the 26th and has continued ever since. I'm so glad. I like hearing him say "ma ma". Food, Fun and First Words

Today we experienced two exciting milestones in Ben's development. It started with mommy deciding that it was time for Ben to try and feed himself. He has been eating *relatively* solid foods lately (ie mush) so we thought we'd give him a spoon and let him go at it! We had a surprise along the way. Watch the video.

Benjamin is growing up

Benjamin has been figuring out a lot of new things lately. He's figured out how to sit up on his own. We put pillows around him in case he falls over and give him some toys and he has a blast playing on the floor. He's also figured out that one of his toys, that we have attached to his swing, can be pulled down a bit. This toy has joints that make it bendable....

DaDaDaDaDaDa

After many months of extensive coaching and life training, Benjamin has officially started saying "Da Da". Well, actually it's more like dadadadadada but we can't be too picky. This event came much to the surprise and chagrin of "Ma Ma" who has also been attempting to teach Ben a similar phrase. Unfortunately, this event had some unexpected side effects in that it resulted in Ma Ma announcing that Ben was calling for Daddy, and therefore...

Benjamin's first tooth

Benjamin's first tooth came through on October 23rd. He was grabbing my finger and putting it in his mouth when I realized something a little sharp inside. It was his bottom left tooth that had emerged. It's just this little bit of white poking out of his gums. He's 5 month's and 8 days old now. Our little boy is growing up.

He's growing up

Wow, I can't believe that Benjamin was 4 months old already. He's growing up. Right now he's sitting with me while I write this post. Here I will let him type...gggggggghhg...well that was Benjamin's typing. He's so cute. I think he's so adorable. When he naps he will move around a bit and then thump his legs, all while fast asleep. It's quite funny to watch, because he will do it for at least 20...

We Have A WINNER!!!

On October 26, 2006, we started a competition to see who could guess the closest to the date and time when baby Ben would be born. Now, 3 and a half months after Ben was born, I think it's time to declare the winner. Sometimes He Sleeps!

Sometimes, Benjamin sleeps quite soundly ... when we would prefer that he be awake. Oh well, I guess that's all part of being a baby.
